Ok so I will admit that I don't own any traps other than muskrat and a dozen Victor rat traps . I want to change that and I want to buy some that are going to be able to be handed down to my boys. I found a place on the web that can ship a dozen MB 750 for 30$ a trap. I looked in halfords and and they are 42.85 a dozen . Are they worth the money and by the picture the ofset version has tabs welded on it for the ofset. Is that how they r ofset at the factory. And is that the only diffrence between the ofset and the beaver mb750? other than the 11$ price diffrence.

I have never handled the 750 beaver trap but have 8 of the 1/4 os wolfers, I would say if the beaver ones are as well biult as the wolfers they will be around for your boys kids. They are pricey though and heavy so shippin is high. I will go look at minr today but I dont think they used a tab spacer for the os, but I will let ya know for sure.

Well the setters are made. Only thing is with them traps is you pretty much have to have your fingers in the jaws to set them . Unless I am missing something obvious?

If they are like the wolfers, I set the pan on the dog thing but leave the pan sittin way up high, then lift the trap off the ground and I stick my finger in from the bottom to pull the pan down into the night latch. It is a tight fir and not realy comfertable, but I am not brave enough to do it any other way lol.
