Anyone make one, or used them? Found a intresting instruction online and went to town and bought the supplies. Seems like a good project. What would be good bait?

Well it works on a teeter totter type triger. when the bird walks through it brings him into the basement where he goes into the holding pen. When he steps off the trigger it come back up to catch another. Me and my 3 year old built it this afternoon and set it out with bread, grass seed and sunflower seeds for bait.

No birds yet! Blasted them little buggers. Makes it worst when you have a trap set where you can look at it at any giving time. My wife says a watched pot never boils.

Well, got three this mornig! Now I read is to keep these first few fed and watered and use them to attract more! The farm is over run with them and they were able to get into the quanset this winther so the left a complete blanket of poo all over my holiday trailler and boat.

Well should have known with three Labs in the yard there would be trouble with live birds in a trap! They squashed it flat! Lol . Rebuilt it in about an hour and moved it up out of there reach.

Well moving it onto my old bait trailer realy slowed it down for some reson? B ut When I got home yesterday my 3 year old was so excited he could barely talk! It seems the sparrows decided to sample our "secret" bait again. We had 5. I do have to admit that with the trap and a steady assult with bb and pellet guns it is alot quiter around here. And we already are seeing more native song birds.

Horray for you Yote! If you have them, the bluebirds will be thanking you! I made a door style trap that replaces the door on the bluebird nest boxes for them when they overtake a box. They will kill both the adults and the babies.
