trap boil question

I was boilin my coyote/wolf traps today and I just cant seam to get them as clean as I want them, there is still some wax droplets on them and they just dont look cleen. I was wounderin about addin lye to the water or is it time to break down and vinager soak them to rmove all the old dye?? Will iether of these help get rid of the way droplets?? I boiled them for about an hour but it just didnt work like I wanted. Any help would be great, thanks in advance fellas.

Boil them again in clean water add some baking soda.
