Probaly be helping the wife in her garden. I keep telling her that she is going to have to help me this fall in the skinning shed ;D I did not know that 5500 sq. ft. of vegetables were so much work but I am starting to like it . I think it taps into my hunter/gatherer instict.

The wife had me and the oldest boy put in 242 hills of spuds this year I don't know who is going to eat all them spuds if they grow like last year. if you average 7# a hill. we will have lots to go with our deer/moose/elk well wishful thinking any ways.

I am going through all my rams . They are in a ball of anchor wires and snare supports. Happens every year, I usually pull a trailer full of bait and have a wooden box that I put my spare rams in and a couple supplies. Well when I pull them it is always in a hurry because I get a call for work and I run around like crazy and jam around 50 rams and all the wire that goes with having them set into the box. T ime I run around to 10 bait sites they settle in nicely. I will be there a while. I was thinking of dying them this year,I found an old box of logwood crystals I just do,t know if i want them black. R ust is very natural around here . Any thoughts? does anyone else dye there Rams? It would be nice to stop the corrosion. I am careful to make sure and not leave them set if there not out but I am sure the rust will in time weaken them.

well got the rams all sorted out . Halfway through I put on safety glasses I get frustrated easy at tangled things. Then I had a brain wave to make a rotating beaver board holder for when you are putting them on the board. Its not an original idea but it will be nice because my skinning shed is small. I built it out of an old trough feeder the cows had wrecked long ago. Pretty proud of my recycleing made a hockey net and this thing out of it and i think I have enough 3/4 " pipe left to build a beaver skinning cradle like fuzzes. [mine will be steel seeing how I am a welder} I made it to fit into a old folding pipestand that wasn't safe to use on the job. I will try to post some pics tonight.
