Our coyote and fox have an open season, rats and beavers 0n the 15. I usualy start on Nov 1 on the yotes but wth the predicted high prices I am haveing a hard time. Is anyone else thinking on starting a little early this season?

Otter, beaver and rats open tomorrow but our weather has warmed up. Fur prices should be good this year but only for the better quality fur. Better to wait and let them prime up more if you can. Some times it is hard to wait if you got the itch....lol. Good luck to everyone this fall.

Oct 15th I'm heading to the trapline for a week. Mostly clearing trails, doing some site prep for cabin building, putting out the remaining marten boxes, shooting a few grouse and I might take my fox pro and try to call a bear. I have a calf moose tag but I cant see filling it.
Oh, and hopefully catch my beaver quota. I need 22.5 beavers, its hard to catch half a beaver so I guess its 23.

I think alot of trapping seasons will open this month, maybe generate some activity on our forum. The Minnesota season starts in the north zone on Oct 22 and south zone on Oct 29. many trappers are busy getting their gear ready. Myself included. David
