Drawn for mule deer in our area. Bit of a sour note this year, the buck I have been trying to get with my bow for the last three years was found with his head cut off 3 miles from my house. Opening day of draw moose yesterday and muzzle loader mule and white tail. I was not drawn for moose.

I wanted to do some deer hunting, but don't know if I'll get to it or not. Archery looks to definately be out for me, maybe try for a nice doe in Dec. with my new Savage .243.

I'm taking the Opening day of rifle season off, thats it. I dont have the vacation left to take anymore. The only upside is I havent need much more than the first few hours of the season to fill my tags for the last 10 years or so. First deer that steps foot onto the bean field gets it. no time to trophy hunt again this year.

Had 2 does out at 4 in the morning for the last week,everyone said they will bring in a buck just wait[7 day season] well yesterday a buck came in at 1.14 in the afternoon when i was gone,i sit on stand in the afternoon and it came out just before dark at 112 yards it was to dull to make a good shot so i let him walk.

To bad white about the deer, some times we try to hard with no results.Maybe i'm lucky or just don't care, but after i have put some effort into hunting with no results i just say #%@*" and go about my business and poof i see something..If it's deer your after i have 5 in my back yard every morning and i can't shoot them cause i'm in town limits. Good luck white with the little time you have left for your deer. |

Last day of draw mule deer buck season today. Took the day off and the kids are off also so we are going out . My standards are much lower today.

Well no mule buck this year. Passed on a couple young bucks in the morning and ended up with none. Seen a nice white tail in the middle of a stuble field with his nose to the ground in the morning, rut is on. Opening day white tail today but I am back to work. Plan on taking a few next week.

off for 6 days for whitetail. Oldest boys first year, made some does and a yote turn on the after burners but no meat. Seen a fine mature buck but couldn't make it come together.Did end up with a badger wth nice colour so maybe we paid for some gas. Up ealy so I can get some rats on the boards, fell behind with only 12 stretchers so be nice to get them done before work on tuesday.

Good luck with getting your rats done and your white tail. Did you trap the badger or shoot him?They sure are a neat looking animal.

Well me and the boy got some real close shooting [started at 20 yards and ended at 50] at a mature white tail today but missed him! He must of had something else on his mind with his does. Lol He was standing in the silver willows right beside the truck trail. Drove right to him, never seen a big guy that love drunk before. The boy ended up wth his frst deer tonight, a big fawn. He is real happy . He still has a buck tag so he is still packin a gun.
