The moose are on the move here, hopefully the warm weather doesnt slow them down for a few days.

moose hunt did not go well, weather was no good to warm. Saturday was high of 22c. My son and nephew did see a bull,cow and calf but could not get a shot. Did get out on the bike and shoot a bunch of chickens and check out the line for beaver.Last year i was already into the beaver at this time, this year with snow 2 weeks ago then super warm weather from then on it will be another week or two before i start. Will head back out Thursday or Friday for a few days and see if we can,t connect. I know the moose are in there but we need some cold weather to get them on the move. How did everyone else make out with there moose hunt?

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat ;D. I came back to town on Sunday, the 4 previous days was nothing but blowing rain and snow. Will head back out tomorrow and the weather is supposed to clear for Wednesday. Will start taking some beaver now, seems when i,m looking for moose i can't find one and when i start beaver trapping they following me around . Anyway white good luck with your moose hunting and will be back in six or seven days.

Well another moose season has come to the end and i never got to see 1 ,,very warm weather and it rained most of the time,
The ring gear[fly wheel] broke in my ranger so now that will set me back a bit for trapping.

Oh, sad to hear you did not get your moose.. Weather is more often than not the biggest factor in the Deer hunts around here, I suspect it would be the same there. Sorry to hear about the ring gear... They just don't make things like the used to....

No moose as yet but still have 6 weeks left to hunt. The Ranger may be down but i know it will be back on the road soon even if white has to make one
