Sand flies

When we try to camp out around here in the summer we get eaten alive by these little black flies they are as small as a spec of pepper and bite like a hornet [NO SEE EMS ] is another name for them,
just wondering if you guys that live in other places have this problem.

Yup we have the noseeums here to. They take a chunk of hide with them don't they.

We have them in Kansas, but fortunately not too awful thick. Mosquitos, ticks, and chiggers rule the most here.
