Its been bitter cold since my last check of 25 traps can't set many more till the rivers freeze. The first time i ever caught a fox in a connibear a 160 fisher box A flat tire resulted with some hard steering for a while.Any day checking traps is a good day.

Congrats on the critters. My first year of trapping white, I caught a red fox in a 220 bucket set. I had tied the trap off with 16 ga wire and he broke the wire and was loose. He had twisted the trap around until it was on the sides of his neck and it did not kill him. Fortunately, there was a hog wire fence that he had to go through and the trap would not let him get through the wire. I had to chase him down. Learned several things there at the time.
