That is big, must have been breeding with some wolfs or the food supply is very good.

that is a big dog, I have caught a few wolfs that were lighter than that.

I am definitely no expert but with that large bulky head it sure looks like a wolf to me.

Glad you said that. I do not have coyote here and have no way of knowing what they look like or actuall size. The colour was a bit off for a timber so did not think twice. What ever it is it is a nice size.

Here's a couple of photos comparing a coyote and wolf, both with basically the same coloration. Out here wolves come in all colors from blond to black and all shades in between.

Good comparison Tom. I been hearing coyotes weighing 70 and 80 pounds all along the coast quite often, A few years back i got a big 1 and it weighed 64 lbs. My buddy got a big 1 he sent it to NAFA as a wolf,and it was graded as a wolf and sold as a wolf.
