Well fellas who ellse is feelin the itch to start trappin again ;D I know I am after hardly gettin out last year. So the last few days I have bean laminting, night latchin, 4 coiling and base plating all my coyotye traps that were dirty from last year and neaded to be boild any way. I also put a few wooden pans on some 120 ldl's kinda like Tomcat does to his Belisle 120's {that means I compleatly stole his idea and made mine the exact same ;D ;D} I want to try them for mink this year in cubby sets along creeks. Then I just have to make a few more snares and I should be almost ready for this winter.

Hope you got the welder going good white. Fuzz, I am pretty itchy too. Problem is I don't know what to target. I am in limbo about the demand for coons and what that market is going to do as some are saying it's bleak, so I don't know if I should gear for them or not. I was going to target rats this year instead, but now we are going into a 2 year drought condition and all our rat waters are going away fast in this 100 degree temps. Rat numbers were lower last year than I had seen it in quite a while, now this year is going to compound that. Only other option for earlier season is red fox, and honestly there are some around, but the numbers are too low to make a decent turn around without trapping big. Since I can only trap part time, the profits just are not there for me on the fox....... Later in the season, I can target a few winter coons and do ok, and I can also target bobcats, otters, and beavers. But for the first part of season I am in a bit of a predicament on what to do as nothing else primes up well then except coons, rats, and fox. Don't know what I am going to do now...........
