Well got all 20 of my subs set. I also got 7 beaver set in at the two houses that iluded me last winter. I hope I have a catch pic or two tomorrow to post.

AWSOME!!!!!!!! 7 rats is the best I have ever got in a sub too, must have hit it a half doz times but cant beat it lol, but 40 rats in one day is way better than I have ever done, congrats!!!!

I totally bombed on the beaver in foot hold though. All three sets where set off but toaly empty! The traps where in the same place as I st them and there was fresh beaver tracks and sign at the sets but never got anything. I will have to go chech my instructions that fuzz gave me I must of missed something. With my zero at this lodge last winter and three snapped traps today I am starting to wunder if I have a lodge of wise guys . Nobody likes a wise guy!! lol

Nice going on the rats!
I dont know how you guys find the entrances on bank dens and lodges to set them up?? I have a hell of a time finding them. It all looks like a tangled mess of sticks to me usually.

No rat traps set because i was suposed to work for a day or two but the wind was howling today so it was prosponed till tomorrow. Went and checked my beaver sets around town with the two little boys. The foot holds at the one house seen no action . These two big guys came from the same lodge as the two little ones yesterday.both in the same sets. One was close to disaster though, seems I forgot to tie it off after yesterdays catch and the trap and beaver where gone out of the bank den entrance. I felt up inside the bank den and felt nothing , we went and searched around the house figuring it might of headed there but was sure the two sticks I used to hold the trap would still be wired to it and get tangled. nothing! We went back to the bank den and I went out as deep as I dared in my chest waderers and finaly I bumped something with my knee and with a little untangling with my shoulder legnth gloves as deep as I could I raised it up .I played it up to the boys making them think I didn't know for sure what it was. LOL When the tail broke the surface I am sure the whole golf course heard . Had to make to trips to get them them the 3/4 of km to the truck but the chatter out of the boys made the first trip fun and when I went to get the second the boys met me half way and where still excited. I knoe it is a green mistake but I wanted to share it because I am sure the boys wont forget it soon.  |

.I played it up to the boys making them think I didn't know for sure what it was. LOL When the tail broke the surface I am sure the whole golf course heard . Sounds like you know how to have fun with the kids.... ;D I ham it up too, anything to keep them interested. |
