Opening day of the wifes draw cow moose tag today. To bad I am the only one excited about it. I was informd that she goes to the gym on monday mornings! I will see if she can find time to go out this evening.

Ya no moose yesterday. Had a line on a cow/calf pair hanging out on my cousins road about 4 miles away. I walked all the bushes and never came up with anything other than a couple of coyotes. He texted me last night [after dark] to tell me he just seen them again! Lol I have to work today so they will have to wait till tomorrow. That is the bad thing about living right beside the zone border, she crosses in between and if she is on the other side of the hiway the day we check we are out of luck.

Well the moose tags are notched ! The wife and me and three of the little ones went for a drive to see if we could find a cow moose at 4:30 pm . We seen a cow and two big calfs beded about 500 yards of the main grid. Me and the wife put the stalk on them and closed the distance to 170 yards when they stood up . The wife took the quartering away shot and it was all over but the complaining ! I was telling her to totaly relax when she was resting on the shooting sticks. I guess she relaxed so much that the rifle scope caught her between the eyes! She is not a hunter by any stretch of the word but does it for the meat and insists it is by the book. I don't think it will blacken but itis definetly swollen!!!
