I read in the new ffg mag about freezing beavers in a block of ice ,like in a five gallon bucket filled with water or I am going to try big ones in my half plastics bait barrels witha anchor wire tied to a stick froze in there to tie it off. Seems like they would have to work a long time for a mouth full and maybe not feed so many birds.Has any of you guys tried this?

Got a bud who freezes his scraps in 5 gallon buckets then thaws enough to get the ice block out and hauls the blocks to the bait sites.

Ya exactly! Seems like a way to keep the buzzerds from eating it all before the predators get there But yet keep everyone interested. The weather is finally cold enough maybe my beavers will finally freeze! Lol.

I use old mineral tubs from cattle and fill them with all my carcusses and fleashing scraps then fill with water and let freaze. They work awsome and it takes the crows and coyotes along time to eat it up.
