I got one more bait set up with my typical 6 rams today. That makes four .Two more and they will be all set. I have never snared in this much snow before so I am playing with a few sets in my ski doo trails and also in my own tracks. Poor coyotes are following every path they can . Pretty much all my baits are in slough bottoms so I have drove around them criss crossing near the edges so I am close enough for anchors. I will see. If nothing else I am sure I will atract other sleders to come in and wreck my sets. The snow in these slough bottoms is 2 feet or better.

Ya I always do .expecialy snared ones. They are nice to flesh this time of year . Of course years when I do a hundred or more a spring beaver is a real nice change. Coyotes are the one animal I feel I do a good job on.

I had this in the wrong column so I will re-write it. I did a full check this morning and I only caught one nice male. I also had one broken snare(already). They just don't seem to be moving much, not many tracks around in general. The spot I had the three last time is the place i had that huge sow at. She is 95% gone and they are active there . If some one would of wanted to come check snares and see coyotes I would of said today would of been the best day of the season. I think it must be all this soft snow making them not want to travel. But I am just guessing . Some sites hadn't had a coyote in the slough bottom in the last 3 days. wierd!

I went to a bait that I had set up a while ago. I was a bit down in the mouth with the lack of activity around my other baits and this one is out of my way but I thought I better set more steal to increase my odds. I think it has been hit? LOL tHIS IS MORE LIKE IT.

I would have to say that set was hit, more tracks there then some grocery stores. Now time to hang and collect.

Ya froze up the darn thing. Think it must be condensation or something in the fuel. Still not running 100.
