Lol. It's going to be my slowest season in many years though. With the four kids at an age that they need to be kept busy over the holidays I don't know if I will get the last two bait sites set up. Drove by a couple times and it look busy just can't seem to get them set up. Off today to try to catch some pike for supper.

Checked a couple baits today. All this snow really is putting a damper on things again this Year but still manged to connect on two. For the second time in 10 years of having to use 3/64 cable I actually had one release a mule deer the way they are supposed to. he is laying to the left. this one is real dandy of a specimen

Better then last year . Talking to other guys and they figure the same. Just too much snow and wind every day to keep things operational. I know I have ranted before about having to use 3/64 cable on my rams but with these conditions it is even harder to keep them in perfect position so as to make catches that will hold them. Test are being conducted this winter on a 1/16 cable with break away s hooks instead I sure hope they get passed. My opinion is the guys who make these laws never tried to pay bills with 3/64 cable.

Pulled last bait today. Got two. One was canibalized . Funny every time this happens to me it is at this bait sight. Didn't look like I lost much of a coyote from what was left looked pretty scruffy. This one is smaller but a nice coyote.
