This is the first thing I have caught in one of my ski doo trails. I thought setting them would be more productive. Still have no caught any thing In the trails I made by just walking and dragging my feet.

I think you are right wolf. I will only have one or two checks left. Work is starting back up so I to will have to pull. I wish people would post more on this site, it is the only site I am on. I like our close knit little forum but we have a lot of people that don't say much.

Did a check today. There was quite a bit of activity at most sites but I only managed to colar 3. The bigest of the bunch is not any good but the other two seem alright. This is the first coyote I have caught on my ski doo trail.

I could tell from here that this big old male was no good just by how black his neck looks in pic. He als seems to have a broken back foot.It is a rough world out there.

All the bird and coyote tracks around this one made me nervous but it seems they did her no harm.

Ya well the e mail was nice but a post would of been better. lol No got a bit busy with work. I think I will be pulling next next trip, just not evough time in a day with work and 4 kids . WAH wah I know. by Feb I will be going crazy again. I still havn't gotten the last batch on the boards. They are skinned, fleshed just waiting to be boarded. Oh well it will make it worth while firing up the old Hoover at least. And I still have around 50 fall rats to board if I get down in the mouth. I will still go out for a few beaver in the end of Feb if I don't go away to a camp to work. My buddies always tease me that I am the only guy in the world that will drag up on a 1200 dollar a day job to maybe catch a 20 dollar beaver. They don't understand ,Lol. And I only did it once and the boss was beeing a donkey's butt, I wanted to see his face when I was wrapping up the truck. But I know once I see the Canada geese start coming back in march that my time to trap them or even get to them is getting short. Oh ya I get the itch !!!

Pulled all my snare today. It was a bit of a slow day. I got a fox and a coyote but they were in the same bush so was very slow at all the rest.

Funny story about the yote. Some how she got the springs tied shut before setting it off . I did not have a gun or a club for that matter so I rigged up a ram and carefully fished it over her head ,carefuly because she was very much alive and grumpy. then I threw the ram into the air so it wouldn't knock my teeth out and it was all over. I know she was a tired from being caught already but I was surprised how fast it knocked her down, it was almost instant. The ram went off and she dropped. She never even twitched, just blinked. Very humane for her and lest bloody that shooting her. Funny first live one of the year and the last one caught. And the only one with water head!
