Did the last 30 spring rats this morning. Now I am itching for some fresh stuff. Talk to a fellow this morning and he itching to take out some beaver damns this fall so I guess I will try to start there come the season opener on the first of October. I was to slow last year and they blew all the damns after ice up and the beavers disappeared. I don't want that to happen again.

Your beaver will bee a little flat beginning of October. Guess that if they are blowing the dams better to have low grade than none at all.

Ya was caught that way last year at a diffrent place. Asked permission in the fall and was excited because of all the lodges. Went there in the early spring to harvest them and they where all gone! Sad realy to do that to them after freeze up but I guess if your p o Ed at them it don't matter. In my eyes I wasn't in a rush because once ice comes they are done all the damages they can do until spring.

Went and did a couple stands with the little two boys tonight while mom was making supper. Been hearing them around the yard every night driving the dogs crazy! First 10 seconds this female showed up at 115 yards , she was still thrashing and her mate showed up and was sniffing her I shot but am blaming a branch why we didn't have two. Not fully prime yet but a very nice colour

. The great trappers trying to forge there way through the willows and rose bushes. They are real obstacles when you are only 3'6". Lol
