I got 2 nice dark marten Greg the others are dark brown, light brown . 6 males and 3 females. Two of the females were juvenile. As far as wolves i set 2 spots on the weekend. Making a special trip up that way tomorrow to help a friend out and he said he would swing by that way so i could check them. Keep you posted if i snag one .

no wolf today but i had 2 walk by the newest set. picked up 2 mink and 1 marten in the few sets i checked. Delay of plans as i have one more day of catch up before heading back out to the line.

Thanks guys, it was good and now will be skinning for the next few days. Hope to be back out on Wednesday and Thursday for another check before the snow storm hits on Friday..

Checked the line today. Things went well at the start but ended up with a puncture on one of my atv tires.Frozen sticks and soft tires don't mix. Took no pics of marten or fisher hanging this time, thought you guys are getting tired of the same old thing. So i took only some mink pics and a weasel pic and one pic at the end of my day.Not everything is checked but my brother will finish checking tomorrow as i have the high school kids for the day and hands on skinning for them.      I am very impressed as to how the fur is moving, been very good this year.Now at 60 marten, 6 fisher, 3 otter, 6 mink, 40 beaver, 2 fox and 1 weasel . Had the wolves come to one set today but they made new runs and did not follow their other ones. I now have those covered as well. That is starting to bug me about no wolves yet, but i will be patient.Todays take was 19 marten,3 mink, 2 fisher, 1 otter and a weasel |

Yes gth this years seems to be another fisher population explosion. Trappers in the area are caching them in good numbers.'m not sure if they cycle like lynx, are last big fisher boom was 4 years ago.
That i am nightrider, but i will pull marten boxes starting next check.
