To bad about the Wolf but at least he isnt out there eatin everthing on your line any more, still would have bean nice to have caught the dirt bag in the act, and sort it out so to speak. You are doin great with the under ice beavers, and with the prices commin up it must take some of the chill out of the quad ride lol

White the mnr was here to my house yesterday to see where the set was and get more info from me. Seems they have already been investigating some concerns in that area.Looks like they have some people in mind which are other trappers. There was some wolf fur on the snare that i used for an extension and i gave them a new snare that i used to catch the wolf that disappeared. It was a senneker killer spring on a 5/64 cable which is rare here. They will pull the dna off the hair from the extension snare and see if it matches from thier other investigation. I hope it is not who i suspect as i have known thier father for years and after his passing last year they took over the line.

That would be a shame if it was the people you think it was but at least if it gets nipped in the butt at a younger age maybe they will straighten out and fly straight.

No beaver sets out but i did get out today to pull the last 2 wolf snares at that set last week where i lost the wolf to thieves.    one nice male and smaller female. |

Bait has been out for a month, just beaver. The wolves found it and waited till they had good runs going into it .
Last night i skinned the female and used compressed air to force the skin away from the body before skinning. I have to say i was very impressed with the results. Will do the same to the male today.

picked up a couple beaver over the weekend to see if they are still good. One has already started to go springy and the other looks good. Think that will be the end for beaver for this year.  This one is good still  this one is starting |
