Thanks for all the kindness guys, you are awesome!!!! Well, we had a bit of a glitch in our system today. Yesterday afternoon, Russ started complaining of feeling poorly. It ends up the headache, and plugged up ears the day before were a warning we ignored, and he came down sick. He was up all night last night, but by noon today there was a noteable difference, and he was feeling better. He is still a little shakey, but fine now. I hope he is better by tomorrow as I am starting to feel my ears plugging up like his did. Great! Because He was sick, I took off work today so I could tend to the line. I ran both halfs and luckily it was a bit of a slow day. I made the decision that if a trap was fired I would leave it that way, not knowing how long Russ would be down. The only traps I would re-build are the ones that are our hot producers. It took the better part of 4 hours to run the line, and by the end we had only 6 coons and 1 lonely possum , THANK GOODNESS!!!! That brings our total in 1 week, to 63 coons. I suspect the lines are going to settle down and produce 4-6 a day now, but who knows, there may be another 12-20 coon night in there somewhere if they move super hard one night. I sure hope this flu bug flys by me!

What a slow one for us today! Temps dropped off to the coldest of the season so far, last night. got down to 20 here with high winds through the night. Didn't help with me leaving several sets undone yesterday. Russ had a pull out, and had 2 other sets that they went through the blocking on. I had one do the same. We ended up only catching 2 coons last night. That's trapping. Suppose to warm up some over the next couple days, should get em moving hard again. here are the two, both sows. It was cold enough that they started freezing in the back of my truck! So far I am staying healthy, and Russ has bounced back quick. He ran his half today! Thanks for all the concern and nice words. Happy thanksgiving everyone!

The weather affects coon trapping more than any other animal.
