White my 4 wheeler is about the best thing I could have to run a trap line. It is 4 X 4, with chains and will go about anywhere in mud, snow or ice. I rebuilt the carry all this fall and made it bigger, so I have lots of room to haul stuff, plus the bucket on the front adds additional space. There is not enough snow here for a snow mobile, and a ATV has limited haulling space. I only use it on the line across the road from the house. I use the truck on the other line and do some walking.

Well I ran the line this morning. There were 5 coons and 3 possums. I am starting to feel normal now that my possum catch is up a little. I was beginning to worry. The 3 bigger coons came off the creeks and the two cubs, not pictured were at a feeder. I called a neighbor, who came and got them while I was still on the line. He wanted them to bake. They would have weighed about 6-8 pounds each. Two possums came from the same feeder and one came off the pond dam. To add to Catmando's skinning pic's, I use a golf ball and rope to help me pull the coon hide. Most of the time I can pull all the way to the elbows and free up the legs with out a lot of difficulty. Works great for an oldster like me or when it is warm and you cannot hold onto that greasy hide.
