Yes bigmac5, they are just as greasy and maybe a little more, plus the hide is thinner, I never go near a possum with a sharp knife, I use a serrated knife on Possum, The hide is real tight on the chest and in the armpits of the front legs. Takes me longer to do one possum than 1 1/2 or 2 coons. I only skin the large silver ones over 10 pounds. I will post a picture of the next one I skin for you.

Today was pretty much a bust. 3 Possums out of 39 traps. The possums were in the 3-4 pound range. Two on feeders and one on the creek. All three came off one property, the second short line had nothing. I looked around some at some spots where I smeared out the coon tracks yesterday, no fresh sign was found. I guess with the full moon they stayed home last night. I have lots of time left. I will put in a doz 1.5's tomorrow on public ground for coon.

Yes Wolf1199, them possums are everywhere. I usually catch almost a 1 possum to 1 coon ratio. But I am what is considered a dry land coon trapper. If you trap the water like Catmando does, you are less likely to catch the possums, but I personnaly hate dealing with the wet coons.

Well another day of doom and gloom. 3 grinners, 2 on the creek and one at a feeder. I moved a bunch of buckets to the creek, but had trouble finding sign. The creek is real low and there is a trickle with the occasional pool of water. Is this a Bobcat track? I found it on the water line of the creek. The link is 1 3/8 inches long.

The one in the middle looks to have a black-ish tint to it.

white316, there are basically two colors, black and silver. You can sell the Jumbo silvers, no one will buy the blacks of any size. Not sure why though
