Nice haul Wolf, I hope I get 1 mink this year but I catch most of mine early so it dont look too good lol. Hope ya get out alittle more after the holidays, seams just wrong to stop now while you are doin so good.

I'm down to 3 or 4 checks left before I pull too. Seems like I waited all year for the season to get here then poof! Its all over.
You have had a banner year though, it will be easy to look at this one in the rear view mirror and smile.

-24 this morning and with the windchill was at -30. Bit of a frosty day for the final check.There was only one bike trail to do and the rest was by truck so it was not that bad.There was mink tracks everywhere through the bush trail that i went down with the bike. They had been into just about every marten box i had down that trail as well as the 3 lynx cubbies.The marten boxes have been pulled for some time now but i wonder how many i would have picked up ;D. I did manage one in a 330 set for lynx, what are the odds of one firing the big trap and getting caught.    picked up these 2 nice red fox a mile apart   picked up 2 more marten in mink boxes  The otter were really moving in the last couple of days and i was going to take a few pics but the battery went dead on me. Anyway everything is now pulled and i can skin what i caught today and still make the fur pick up next Wednesday. Will try and get one photo for year end. Best of luck to all of you who are still trapping. |

what are the odds of one firing the big trap and getting caught. With your luck this year I'm surprised there isnt a marten in there with him. ;D Congrats on a great season and thanks for taking the time to document it so we could ride along. |

Got the beaver all done up today for shipping.Cleaned the fur with snow yesterday and today combed and fluffed. Tomorrow will do the rest of fur, combing and fluffing.  |

What do you do to clean them beaver? Just throw some snow on them and comb it off?
