Thanks everyone, I'll now bore you with..... you guessed it.....more rats! Lol!!! Today, we had another decent day, considering we only made 9 new sets yesterday. We ended up with 7 rats today, and 3 were in the gigantic class as far as we are concerned! The bank dens were much larger then a typical rat den, and almost resembled beaver, as they were cut pretty deep and wide. I have encountered this before, and always they have produced goliath sized rats, and this time was no different. We then got all traps pulled, and moved to 3 other ponds/areas. I am hoping we will catch at least 6 more to equal 60, as we are out of water/ice to trap. We do have several promising dens and runs set so I am very hopeful. Anyway, here is a couple pics of todays catch, one is of Catman jr holding a normal sized rat vs. one of our "goliaths" LoL! (they are just big to us!) Russ with one of the big one's on the right hand side See all tomorrow!

Today, Russ ran the line for me, and he was so concentrated on running the traps, skinning the catch, and wrapping the fur up, that he forgot to snap a picture! Sorry! Not like anyone hasn't seen rats before though! LOL! So..... we decided to make this morning our last run on the rats for the season, at least here on our personal line. I will still trap them off and on at work and maybe pick up 10 or so the rest of season. We caught 9 more rats this morning, and Russ pulled the traps as he checked. Probably would have only picked up a couple more leaving them an extra night. I did however get 5 sets in for rats at work, so maybe I'll have some tomorrow. So our new total of rats is 63
NOW, it's time to start trying for some kitties! Went out after work and got in 4 cat sets between Russ and I. Russ also plugged in a "safety" set for coon/possum, to try and keep them out of the cat sets. We will still be dealing with them for a few days though i am sure. We will try and get 2-4 sets in per night now until we hit the weekend, and we can really make a dent in our areas.
Okay, i'll check back on the morrow!!!! ;D
